It is reported from Bangladesh that the authorities have decided to restore internet in Cox’s Bazar settlement of Rohingya Muslims. It is the largest refugee settlement in the world and previously Bangladesh had snapped 3G and 4G internet from the Rohingya settlement which had attracted international condemnation.

Bangladesh’s Minister of Home Affairs Mr. Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has expressed that Foreign Minister and International NGOs have mentioned that there is heavy international pressure to restore the service and further he has stated that Rohingyas have been using Myanmar’s SIM cards which suggests that they are going through Myanmar’s network.
