All preparations have been completed to host the country’s largest Eid congregation at the historic in . As every year, a massive gathering of worshippers is expected on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Fitr.
The Eidgah ground has been thoroughly cleaned, repainted, and renovated to make it suitable and welcoming for worshippers. Special arrangements have been made to ensure smooth prayers at this 199th grand Eid congregation.
To ease transportation, Bangladesh Railway has arranged two special trains from Mymensingh and Bhairab for worshippers.
Security measures have been significantly strengthened. District Administrator Mohammad Aslam Molla and Superintendent of Police Dr. S M Farhad said a four-layer security system has been put in place. Alongside police, members of , , and five platoons of the will be deployed. CCTV cameras, archways, metal detectors, and drone surveillance will be used to monitor the entire area.
Member of Parliament Md. Mazharul Islam said all necessary facilities have been ensured for worshippers arriving from different parts of the country.
According to the administration, preparations have been made for around six hundred thousand worshippers. The Eid prayer will begin at 10:00 am, led by Mufti Abul Khair Mohammad Saifullah.
