Russian President Vladimir Putin and UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan have agreed to maintain close contact following a telephone conversation centered on the rapid escalation of conflict in the Middle East. According to the Kremlin, the discussion focused on the large-scale military operation launched by the United States and Israel against Iran on February 28.

The conversation comes at a critical time as the region faces unprecedented instability. Reports indicate that strikes on major Iranian cities, including Tehran, resulted in the deaths of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other high-ranking officials. In response, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has targeted sites in Israel and US military bases across several countries, including the UAE, Bahrain, and Qatar. The two leaders intend to stay in active communication as the situation continues to unfold.
