In a heartfelt and unexpected gesture, the Honorable State Minister for Commerce, Industries, and Textiles & Jute, Shariful Alam, visited the Kishoreganj Press Club following his official government programs on Sunday. As a distinguished life member of the club, his sudden arrival at 3:00 PM sparked immense joy and enthusiasm among the local journalistic community. Upon his arrival, he was warmly received with floral bouquets by the club’s President, General Secretary, and other executive members.
During his visit, the Minister toured the facility and engaged in a warm exchange with the journalists, during which he grew visibly emotional. Addressing the gathering, he stated”This is my institution; this is my home. I ask for your prayers and cooperation so that I can uphold the honor Allah has bestowed upon me.” He further emphasized his commitment to the region’s growth, noting that all local Members of Parliament (MPs) are united in their mission to transform Kishoreganj into a successful and developed district. Praising the vital role of the media, Minister Alam highlighted the importance of objective reporting and press freedom before concluding his visit by signing the official inspection book with his best wishes for the club’s future success.
