The anniversary of the popular private satellite television channel ‘Ekattor Television’ was celebrated in Kishoreganj through a vibrant program and festive atmosphere.
On Sunday (June 21), the formal celebrations began with a colourful event at the Kishoreganj Press Club auditorium at 7:30 PM.
At the start of the program, local journalists, political leaders, and people from various walks of life gathered at the Press Club to extend their greetings to Ekattor Television.
Subsequently, a discussion meeting was held under the chairmanship of Kishoreganj Press Club President A.K. Nasim Khan. Shafiqul Alam Shiplu, Manager of Kishoreganj Alamgir Hossain City, delivered the keynote address as the chief guest.
Speaking as special guests and guests were — Press Club Senior Vice President Advocate Sheikh Masud Iqbal, General Secretary of Kishoreganj Journalist Forum S.K. Russell, Executive Member Mashiur Kayes, and Kishoreganj Representative of Asian Truth newspaper Mizanur Rahman Shahin.
The speakers praised Ekattor Television’s courageous role in presenting objective news and upholding the spirit of the Liberation War. They expressed optimism that the channel would continue to maintain this glorious tradition in the days ahead.
At the conclusion of the discussion, the anniversary celebration was formally closed by cutting a cake in the presence of all the guests.
